1044ft AFL 144-Fiber Armored MM Sub-Unitized Premise MicroCore Fiber Optic Cable
1 foot AFL 144-Fiber armored sub-unitized Premise MicroCore Cable. Interlock armor fiber cables feature a loose tube fiber cable and aluminum spirally wrapped armor, covered with a plenum-rated jacket. Sub-unitized Premise MicroCore Cables are ideal for high performance premise installations where space is a premium. The round cross-sectional building blocks combine to provide a tight package, while enabling high density architecture. Each 12-fiber sub-unit consists of 250 m colored fibers and aramid strength members enclosed by a high performance jacket. The sub-units are designed to be independently routed in FMS systems. Aluminum Interlocking feature is a viable and cost effective solution for applications where a pathway is beyond its fill ratio, for areas where extra physical protection is needed, where network security is a concern, in a fast track installation, between buildings, direct burial or in trays. Cable is loose and will be cut to order. Features include:
Jacketed armor that remains flexible due to the spiral wrap armoring process
Easy one-pull installation into any environment
Compact outside diameters when compared to plenum inner-duct or conduit
Aluminum interlock offers 10 to 13 times the crush resistance of a standard dielectric fiber cable
Eliminates the need for conduit or plenum inner-duct
Significant cost savings in both materials and labor up to 25%
Suitable for hazardous environments or difficult installations
Can be installed in campus environments due to the durability and indoor/outdoor rating of the cable
Rugged armoring materials provide additional security for your fiber backbone
Armored cable installed in an outdoor environment should be bonded when passing into an indoor environment
In-building cable runs where space is a premium
Trunk applications where flexibility and small required bend radius are needed to route cable
High density cable areas like Data Centers and Central Offices
Lower cost cable runs where easy handling of tight buffered fibers not needed because cable will be spliced to factory terminated pigtails
Trunk cables where MTP can be directly terminated on subunits
Plenum NFPA 262 rated
Tested to meet or exceed EIA/TIA 568-B3, Telcordia GR-409-CORE and ANSI/ICEA S-83-596
Flexible dielectric FRP central strength member in four position
High performance PVC jacket
No preferential bend typically found in stacked ribbon designs
Small diameter/superior bend performance
All aramid tensile strength members within sub-units
Sub-units are suitable for direct termination with round boot MTP
Compliant to Directive 2002/95/EC (RoHS)
