Description
Pontiac GTO. I have owned this vehicle for more than 8 years. It has never been raced or abused. It is in fine condition and an excellent driver. It is with pride and a degree of sadness that offer this car for sale. Over the years I've had the good fortune of owning several muscle cars. During the 1950's and 60's the American manufacturers built some of the most exciting and nicest vehicles. The engineering and styling that went into these cars represents a pinnacle of Detroit's effort. Chrysler, Ford and GM were locked in a competition that produced some of the most exciting cars ever produced. The '70 GTO has a classical style and to me represents the twilight of the muscle car era....it's hard to believe that more than 60 years have passed. .This car was originally purchased on July 5th, 1970 and have a photo copy of the build sheet. It is my understanding that it spent most of it time in the southwestern US. I purchased the car for the owner of Rock & Road Custom in Flagstaff AZ. The Owner and I shared a similar viewpoint regarding the car. We felt that the classical lines of the GTO remain virtually intact and to upgrade the performance and handling of the car to modern day standards. They converted the car to Pro-Touring. I have put less than 3,000 miles on the odometer since it had been completed.
