You are looking at a Louis Marx DIESEL freight and passenger combo set from 1952-53. This one utilizes the 1095 Santa Fe diesel engines pulling whatever you want. Are you in the mood for freight? Then pull the three freight cars. How about passenger? Then pull the three Santa Fe passenger cars.  What a stunner.
This is a neat set that covers all the bases. It is one of those sets that Marx collectors really want.

1095 Santa Fe Non-Powered dummy E7 Diesel Engine Warbonnet
(1) 3152 Santa Fe 3/16" tinplate coach
(1) 3152 Santa Fe 3/16" tinplate coach
(1) 3197 Santa Fe Observation
21429 Lehigh Valley Gondola, black/yellow
147815 Rock Island Boxcar
4427 ATSF Caboose

THE ENGINES #1095 AA
Both engines are complete. We just serviced the motorized unit. It is running as you would expect.
The POWERED engine looks great with just the most minor of scratches in a few places. C-7/C-6+
The DUMMY diesel unit is  clean but does show some minor handling, mainly in the roof, so C6+to C-7.
The PASSENGER CARS are all nice
.  The tin lithography is something else! They all feature:
Metal tilt automaticcouplers
3/16" scale  Tinplate
Eight wheel cars (two four wheel trucks)
The cars include:
(1) 3152 Santa Fe 3/16" tinplate coach
: A few faint scratches. Minor oxidation on wheels.
(1) 3152 Santa Fe 3/16" tinplate coach
: A few faint scratches. Minor oxidation on wheels. A noticeable scratch on one end.
(1) 3197 Santa Fe Observation
:
Some scratches from usual playwear. Minor
oxidation
on wheels and axles.
The FREIGHT CARS are all nice
.  The tin lithography is great! They all feature:

C-7. Clean and complete. Nice color and printing.
147815 ROCK ISLAND BOXCAR
A really nice car, C-7.
4427 Santa Fe CABOOSE
A really nice car, a weak C-7 due to a few minor scratches mostly on the roof.
THE SET BOX 09643
Shows heavy edgewear and fraying. Looks like there was a water stain at some point. Has dividers. Has some missing pieces that came off on the corners. Tape, a few markings, creases, etc. Soft and flaky, but it is here and holds the contents well. Has the inserts for the cars as well as a flat insert to allow double stacking. Love the advertising for the set on the top.
