This design was introduced before 1987 as an early version of this design.
It is a new, large size 5" wide and 5" tall color patch.
It is machine sewn,  70% machine embroidered on light blue cloth, with a golden merrowing and
an unsealed (sew-on only), sewn-thru coarse cheesecloth, back.
This version is differentiated by the light blue cloth, the 70% machine embroidery,
and large, fat laurel leaves with an ornate knot at the bottom.
The 'Semper Paratus' around the shield is legible and the eagle has an eye.
The gun butts do not touch the merrowing.
