Description
Really Nice leather belt that has USCG stamped twice and also has CGC Fern stamped on on it! The belt is leather and the braiding on top and bottom is well done! Leather is supple and nice! Coast guard ship made belts like this are extremely rare to find!I recently purchased from auction 3 lots of misc items and insignia from the estate of Flotilla Commander/ Lt CMDR Harold H ELLIOTT i have picked out 2 items for my personal collection and the rest of the items will be sold in three different lots here on ebay!
From what I have found I believe he was a member of the coast guard auxiliary during WW2 and stayed state side, he later would join active coast guard service for 6 years or so during the Korean War and then would go back to working in the auxiliary! It appears he may have had a career being an officer on ships non military! There is certainly a good story here that could use some more uncovering!
This is out of the woodwork you will be the first collector to own this item!
What you see is what you get check out the other lots!
New York State Buyers ONLY
- I will now be charging state sales tax, due to there being over 30 different tax districts in the state I have set a default rate, that rate is not accurate for all districts so if you are from NYS and intend on buying any of my items do not pay until I have invoiced you the correct sales tax charge! That being said the rate is set right now for New York City so if you are from NYC or any of the 5 Burroughs you can go ahead and buy it without waiting for an invoice! Thanks for your understanding!
