    Description

    This is a small, vintage "GUNOLINE" lithograph tin by Simmons Hardware Company St. Louis, measuring 2 1/4" x 1 1/8".  Approx. two-thirds of the grease remains intact.
    The tin states "A perfect rust preventative not affected by heat or cold and will not gum.  A light coat of this paste on any unprotected surface of metal will prevent it from rusting and preserve its finish and lustre.  Use this on your guns inside and outside.  Apply with a cloth or fingers.  To be used for guns, revolvers, bicycles, cutlery, sewing machines , typewriters, tools skates fine instruments and machinery."  Original price was 25 cents.
    Some light scrapes on the litho and a very good example.
