Established in 1940, the Erie Mining Company and successor LTV Steel remote Minnesota railroad operations became much more well-known and photographed in the 1980s and 1990s thanks to their diverse fleet of Baldwin switchers, Alco C-420s and RS11s and EMD F9s which continued to provide reliable daily service. Powered by a LEGACY and Bluetooth-equipped C-420, this set includes an impressive 12 car cut of ore jennies and wide vision caboose, stretching 9 feet in length.
