This is a used Marx 4 unit 027 gauge steam freight train set. It is a complete train set that I believe was made in the 1960's. The train could use some cleaning but it runs really great. The Marx #490 0-4-0 locomotive runs in the forward direction only, as it was built to do, all of the rolling stock are of the 4 wheel type with fixed knuckle couplers.
Included in this sale are the following:
1 - Marx #490 0-4-0 steam locomotive, with an ac motor and a working headlight, It only runs in the forward direction, as it was built to do.
1 - Marx New York Central 4 wheel tender.

1 - Marx #309 25 Watt transformer with a speed control, a 110 volt power cord and a 2 conductor cable for connection to the track.

I completely assembled the set and tested everything. All parts of the train are in very good condition, and it runs perfectly.  Some of the components are dusty and scuffed up from years of play-wear, and there may be light rust on
some of the
the metal parts, but nothing affects the operation of the train. The track does have some light rust and tarnish.
I lightly cleaned them,  made sure each track had 3 pins and t
he train runs nicely on them. I  included a track polishing pad for maintenance. This is a basic train set and is ready to set up and play with. I am sorry, but I do not have any original boxes for this set.
