Marx Clockwork Reversing 897 Freight Set in Carboard Freight Depot Box Runs

Thanks for looking. Offered, is a Boxed Marx 897 Clockwork Set with Cardboard Warehouse Set Box. Engine is in good overall condition with some general play wear and scratches present. Runs in forward and reverse, has ringing bell. Brake does work. Shell and frame are free of rust. Key is included. A light cleaning and lubrication is suggested for the best operation. Square tender has the rear ladder, but has rivet couplers instead of sliding twists. Car has some scratches and playwear present, but no dings or dents. Man in door 555 reefer is good with some scratches and a few spots of litho loss on the roof. One side has a few dings. Frame has some scratches and paint loss. Car has sliding twist couplers. Rock Island grocery gondola 552G is included, but does not have the load present. Car has sliding twist couplers. Caboose has some dings present on one side as well as some general play wear. Frame does have some scratches present. Car has sliding twist coupler. Pair of manual switches, 1 crossover, 14 curve, and 6 straight track are included. Track is all usable. Will check to make sure there is enough track to make a figure 8 and still use the switches. Set box has water staining on the bottom tray. Box top has been taped on the corners but has good litho. Does have some marker writing on one panel. Lower section of the outer lid has some wear to the litho and some water spots. Shows well overall. Low heat could be used to remove the tape and secure the box properly from the inside of the lid. There is no set number on the box. There is a partial price ticket still intact from The Boston Store. Set weighs over 6 pounds on it's own, and just over 8 pounds safely packed for shipping.
