On April 15, 2019, the New York Mets visited the Philadelphia Phillies at Citizens Bank Park. Every player wore number 42 in honor of Jackie Robinson. Aaron Nola started for the Phillies, while Noah Syndergaard went for the Mets. The game was a seesaw battle. The Mets went up 3-0 in the top of the third off RBI singles by Wilson Ramos and Jeff McNeil. The Phillies tied the game in the bottom of the inning off RBI singles from Bryce Harper and JT Realmuto. Robinson Cano put the Mets up 5-3 in the next inning when he drove in JD Davis and Brandon Nimmo. Maikel Franco tied the game in the bottom of the inning when he blasted a towering home run that also scored Cesar Hernandez. Nimmo homered to put the Mets up 6-5. In the top of the eighth, Drew Anderson was on the mound. Amed Rosario led off. With the count 1-2, ANDERSON HELD THIS BALL IN HIS HAND!! He threw a 92.4 mph four-seamer, and ROSARIO SWUNG AT THIS BALL AND MISSED, STRIKING OUT SWINGING. (Yes, that means JT Realmuto also touched this ball!!) JD Davis walked to the plate. ANDERSON STILL HAD THIS BALL!! He threw another four-seamer for a called strike. Anderson followed that with a 74.8 mph curveball for a ball. Anderson threw a slider for a ball. He went back to the fastball, and Davis swung at this ball and missed. On the sixth pitch with this ball, Anderson threw a 74.4 mph curveball for a ball. This ball was then retired. Davis eventually walked. Juan Lagares then reached on an error. Anderson intentionally walked Nimmo. Pete Alonso ended the half inning by striking out. The Phillies tied the game in the bottom of the eighth when Jean Segura walked with the bases loaded to score Odubel Herrera. But the Mets won the game in the 11th when Michael Conforto reached on an error, letting Lagares score. This ball is MLB Authenticated for all six pitches from Anderson to Rosario and Davis. Please note that this ball does not come with a case. Thank you for purchasing!!
