    Description

MLB Authenticated - Anthony Rizzo Double To Shogo Akiyama & Schwarber Strikeout. Shipped with USPS Priority Mail. On August 29, 2020, the Chicago Cubs visited the Cincinnati Reds at Great American Ball Park for a doubleheader. In Game 2, Tejay Antone started for the Reds, while Alec Mills took the mound for the Cubs. Ian Happ led off the game with a home run. Kyle Schwarber came to bat next. Schwarber worked the count to 2-2, fouling off the fourth pitch. For the fifth pitch, Antone HELD THIS BALL IN HIS HAND!! He threw an 81 mph curveball that was called a strike, and ANTONE STRUCK OUT SCHWARBER WITH THIS BALL!! Antone kept this ball. Anthony Rizzo walked to the plate. Antone started with a sinker for a ball. He came back with a sinker that was called a strike. On the third pitch of the AB, Antone threw a slider, and RIZZO RIPPED THIS BALL FOR A DOUBLE TO SHOGO AKIYAMA IN CF!! (Yes, that means Akiyama also touched this ball!) Rizzo ended up stranded at second as Willson Contreras struck out and Mike Moustakas grounded into a fielder’s choice to Kyle Farmer. The Cubs got hits from Ian Happ, Jason Heyward, and David Bote later in the game but fell to the Reds 6-5. This ball is MLB Authenticated for all four pitches, including Schwarber’s strikeout and and Rizzo’s double to Akiyama. Please note that this ball does not come with a case. Thank you for purchasing!!
