MLB Authenticated - Gregory Polanco TRIPLE, Josh Bell & Francisco Cervelli Ball. Shipped with USPS Priority Mail. On August 25, 2018, the Pittsburgh Pirates visited the Milwaukee Brewers at Miller Park. It was Players Weekend. Jameson Taillon started for the Pirates, while Jhoulys Chacin started for the Brewers. Starling Marte led off the game by striking out. Josh Bell came to bat next. He fouled off the second pitch, making the count 1-1. CHACIN THEN HELD THIS BALL IN HIS HAND!! He threw a four-seam fastball that Bell swung at and missed. (Yes, that means Manny Pina also touched this ball!) Chacin then threw a splitter, striking out Bell. Gregory Polanco walked to the plate. Chacin still had this ball. He threw a two-seam fastball, and POLANCO BLASTED THIS BALL TO RIGHT FIELD, LEGGING OUT A TRIPLE BEFORE ERIC THAMES COULD GET THE BALL BACK IN!! (Yes, that means Thames touched this ball too!! Travis Shaw was probably the cut-off and Mike Moustakas played third. They probably touched the ball too, although to be clear, this ball is not authenticated for that.) Chacin got this ball back. Francisco Cervelli was the next batter. Chacin threw a 91 mph two-seamer that bounced in the dirt. This ball was then retired. The Pirates went on to win 9-1 behind hits by Marte, Bell, Polanco, Cervelli, Sean Rodriguez, Josh Harrison, Colin Moran, and Kevin Newman. This ball is MLB Authenticated for all four pitches by Chacin to all three batters, including Polanco’s sixth triple of the 2018 season!! The Brewers offered this ball for 0!! Thank you for purchasing!!
