MLB Authenticated - Ian Happ vs. Nate Jones Game-Used Baseball. Shipped with USPS Priority Mail. On August 29, 2020, the Chicago Cubs visited the Cincinnati Reds at Great American Ball Park. Alec Mills started for the Cubs, while Tejay Antone started for the Reds. In the top of the sixth, Jason Heyward led off with a single off Tyler Thornburg. David Bote followed with a walk. Jason Kipnis walked, and Nate Jones came in to replace Thornburg. Nico Hoerner hit a sac fly, followed by Albert Amora striking out. With two outs and men on first and third, Ian Happ came to bat. On the fifth pitch of the AB, Kipnis stole second. That ball was thrown out, and Jones HELD THIS BALL IN HIS HAND!! He threw Happ an 88 mph slider, and HAPP FOULED OFF THIS BALL. This ball was then retired. Happ walked. The Cubs ended up losing 6-5, despite hits from Happ, Anthony Rizzo, Heyward, and Bote. This ball is MLB Authenticated for Happ’s foul ball off Jones. Please note this ball does not come with a case. Thank you for purchasing!!
