MLB Authenticated- Javier Baez 425-Ft HOME RUN (Career #114) Off Tyler Alexander. Shipped with USPS Priority Mail plus Domestic Insurance and Signature Required (WHICH IS WHY HANDLING IS SO HIGH).
On August 24, 2020, the Chicago Cubs visited the Detroit Tigers at Comerica Park. Alec Mills went for the Cubs, while Casey Mize made his second career start and first start at Comerica Park. In the top of the fourth, David Bote led off with a homer. Nico Hoerner reached on an error by Willi Castro. Hoerner eventually stole second. Ian Happ lined out to Christin Stewart. Tyler Alexander replaced Mize to face Anthony Rizzo. But the lefty-lefty matchup didn’t work for the Tigers as Rizzo singled to JaCoby Jones to score Hoerner. Javier Baez then walked to the plate. ALEXANDER HELD THIS BALL IN HIS HAND!! He threw a 92.3 mph sinker for a ball. (Yes, that means Austin Romine also touched this ball!) On the next pitch, Alexander threw an 84.9 mph changeup, and BAEZ LAUNCHED THIS BALL 109.9 MPH AND 425 FEET OVER THE CF WALL FOR A TWO-RUN HOME RUN THAT ALSO SCORED RIZZO — BAEZ’S FOURTH HOME RUN OF 2020 AND THE 114th HOME RUN OF HIS CAREER (by my count)!! Kyle Schwarber then grounded out to Jonathan Schoop, and Willson Contreras grounded out to Castro to end the half inning. The Cubs went on to win the game 9-3. This ball is MLB Authenticated for Baez’s home run off Alexander. Please note that this ball does not come with a case. Thank you for purchasing!!
