MLB Authenticated - Jeimer Candelario vs Vince Velasquez Game-Used Baseball. Shipped with USPS Priority Mail. On April 30, 2019, the Detroit Tigers visited the Philadelphia Phillies at Citizens Bank Park. Spencer Turnbull started for the Tigers, while Vince Velasquez went for the Phillies. Jeimer Candelario led off the game. VELASQUEZ HELD THIS BALL IN HIS HAND TO START THE GAME!! He threw a 94.1 mph four-seam fastball for a called strike. (Yes, that means JT Realmuto also touched this ball!!). He followed that with a 95.5 mph four-seamer for a ball. On the third pitch with this ball, Velasquez threw another four-seamer, and CANDELARIO FOULED OFF THIS BALL!! This ball was then retired. Candelario eventually flew out to Bryce Harper. The Tigers went on to win 3-1 behind hits by Nicholas Castellanos, Miguel Cabrera, Niko Goodrum, Ronny Rodriguez, Jordy Mercer, and Harold Castro. (The Phillies only got hits from Andrew McCutchen, Rhys Hoskins, Cesar Hernandez, and Realmuto.) This ball is MLB Authenticated for all three pitches from Velasquez to Candelario, including Candelario’s foul. Please note that this ball does not come with a case. Thank you for purchasing!!
