Brett Phillips then singled and stole a base. Whit Merrifield singled. With men on first and third, Soler came to bat against Cody Stashak. After going 0-1, Stashak HELD THIS BALL IN HIS HAND. He threw a four-seamer for a strike. He threw a slider next, AND SOLER SCORCHED THIS BALL TO DEEP CENTERFIELD (448 feet!) FOR HIS 91st CAREER HOME RUN, 5th HOME RUN OF THE 2020 SEASON, and 2nd HOME RUN OF THE GAME!! Phillips and Whitfield, of course, scored too for three RBI for Soler. Salvador Perez then followed that with another HR, going back to back. The Royals went on to win 9-6. This ball is MLB Authenticated for Soler’s home run.
