Original Fox Sterlingworth Ansley Shotgun Butt Stock High Grade Vintage. Condition is "Used". Shipped with USPS Priority Mail.
Up for sale is what I strongly believe to be a Fox Sterlingworth Butt stock. I have consulted many old gun dealers and this was their best assessment. Upon reviewing photos and comparing this stock to the images I could find I have arrived at my conclusion. However it is up to you to be sure, this is just my best and most educated guess. This stock has magnificent wood. The photos cannot capture the woods natural beauty because of the stocks glare. This walnut is amazing and you do not see walnut like this, if I had to guess I would say this stock is 75/100 years old. There are some light surface scratches on the stock that you really have to eyeball to see. Other than that there are no nasty chips, nicks, dents, or cracks. Stock measures 14.5” long, and 1.5 inches wide at where the receiver would sit in. The length of the tang to the end of the receiver is 4” long. The stock is also numbered, This is about all the information I have on this piece. But you just need to look at the pictures to see this high grade, luxury piece of wood.
