This listing is for an original Panasonic part number SFM1702-1E idler wheel. Other part numbers Panasonic lists for this part are SFM17021E and SFM17021. Replacement part numbers include G1407-06, M1407-06 and 1407-06.
This part is NOS (New Old Stock) and the rubber has no signs of deterioration. Turntable (record player, phonograph) idlers typically become hard and glazed causing them to lose their grip with use, but the rubber on this idler is still nice and soft with good traction. Idlers made of
certain types of rubber
can also turn to goo over time, but the rubber that this idler is made of does not have that characteristic.
This part is no longer available from Panasonic.
