Description
Antique Pre WWII standard gauge train set made by Lionel. Consists of eight curved tracks, eight straight tracks and one switching track, transformer, No. 81 Controlling Rheostat, four cars, and one locomotive. As I am not a train expert, I will try to describe these cars the best that I can. The transformer has old wiring and I am hesitant to plug it in. There are light surface dirt and dust on these pieces from years of being stored away. This train set was played with so please expect wear to the paint with abrasions. The cars are as follows:
117 NYC & HRRR caboose built from 1910 until the 1920s. Painted red with a black cupola roof.
Has paper residue on the roof with light abrasions here and there.
114 CM & STP 98237 built from 1910 to 1926 orange box car with sliding doors intact. The roof is loose and comes off. I don't know if this is intentional or needs to be re-secured. Has typical light abrasions a paint wear
112 Gondola first introduced in 1910 to 1926. Built-in two sizes. This is the 9" long size marked Rock Island Lines 65784. Lettering is faded and there is paint loss on the exterior.
No. 8 Maroon Engine has obvious paint wear and rubbings.
# 36 Observation car for the New York Central Lines car - dark green first offered in 1912 until 1926. The number 36 is not stamped on this piece. Has obvious paint wear on the green car with a slight dent on the roof end and lettering has faded.
219 Crane car has scratches and abrasions on the roof, the red crane has some paint loss minor rubbings and losses here and there.
