For sale is a truly unique collectable from the young career of Cuban star Randy Arozarena of the Tampa Bay Rays.
This specific ball was used in the May 9th, 2021 Rays vs A's game in Oakland, won by the Rays, 4-3. This specific ball was used for 2 total pitches by Oakland starter Cole Irvin-
First the ball was used for the '1st pitch' of the game, which Arozarena struck for a leadoff single- the first regular season leadoff hit of his young career, and the 56th overall regular season hit of his MLB career.
Next, the ball was re-used for one pitch the Manuel Margot- a pitch in the dirt- after which it was removed from play and sent for authentication.
Authenticated balls such as this are sent mid-game for sale to the public, and are sold by the hometeam. The authentication is input by the on-site MLB authenticators, who apply the holograms and enter the details of the play.  Authentications can be verified through the MLB.com site.  This ball carries the hologram VS769609.  I have attached a screen shot for your review of the MLB authentication serial number search result.
This spectacular ball has great coloration and character- truly a 1-of-a-kind item!  The auction will include a plastic ball cube, as well as a printout of the MLB authentication page.
