RARE UNKOWN Vintage MILITARY ? TRAINING TOOL NAVY COAST GUARD. Condition is "Used". Shipped with USPS First Class. Not sure if it Navy , Marine or Coast Guard .. This has a compass and it reads Made U.S.A. on the back of the compass and it has a black wooden block behind the compass . I believe it shows how much of a difference your course changes when you add weight to the vessel .. when you remove the block it changed the direction a few degrees . Which would definitely change your true course . The Boat spins so you can set it in a direction . I set it on south and it lines up until I take out the block , then the compass moves like 4 or 5 degrees . I'm guessing it's from around the 40's ...not sure ... In very solid condition and showing some light ware . It measures 12x12 inches and is all wood except for the compass .. Heavy cast and glass face . Could use a nice cleaning .
