Description
VPI Junction Box With Direct Phono Cable. Condition is New.This is a complete product with easy drop-in and screw. Simple replacement for your old junction box.
It will fit on all standard VPI Turntables, even the new ones (Avenger, Scout Prime, Signature, HRX, TNT, Classic)
I made this with balanced wiring and grounded phono cable, low resistance and shorter connection
It sounds phenomenal. Straight wiring is recommended for a very clear and direct sound
Length is standard 1 meter so you it will be long enough for most setups. If you need longer, just shoot me a message & I can make it.
Cable is Swiss made high quality and pure copper and shielding. Made in a wider gauge to reduce resistance and clean up the signal path.
Standard RCA Plugs attached. I also have also silver plated bullet plugs from Taiwan that I can attach if requested. (Pricing will vary)
If you want XLR connectors, I might also be able to accomplish that. Just shoot me a message if you are interested
**
Please tell me is you need male or female XLR or send a picture of your phonostage input plugs
.
A sample of the Taiwanese plugs I made on Dec. 2019 is also attached (personally, it sounds better than the standard RCA plugs)
I wired all the tonearms and junction boxes for VPI in the past and I made them perfect and neat.
Harry Weisfeld of VPI also did a test of a direct wiring from the junction box on Jan 2020 on his forum and these are his comments.
"Did a test and bypassed the RCA connectors on the junction box and ran the Nordost wire wire from the back of the female Lemo to the inputs of my phono using RCA's for entrance to the phono stage and the results were staggering.
1- No hum without using a ground, first time ever for me other than the Genesis phono which uses a Lemo input.
2- Low level detail and ambiance retrieval jumped up and the soundstage expanded by at least two feet on the outside of the speakers.
3- Bass was smoother, deeper, and cleaner, just much more realistic bass.
4- Cymbals became less grainy, much more dynamic, and very open.
5- Best of all, the Weavers were no longer in Carnegie Hall, they were in my room with all players laid out on a deep wide soundstage.
6- This has lowered the noise and grain level of the signal to a marked degree."
* If you have any questions or are not sure if they fit on older tables like the HW-19, feel free to ask.
